Host
Join our team at Fred’s (@fredsitalian), where we serve modern Italian fare in the heart of Sechelt.
Position: Host
Start Date: May 7th
Job Type: Part-time
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and welcoming guests with a warm, friendly attitude
- Managing the seating chart and waitlist efficiently
- Answering phone calls and taking reservations
- Coordinating with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth guest flow
- Assisting with table settings, menus, and overall guest experience
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entrance area
- Supporting servers and bussers as needed during busy shifts
Qualifications:
- Previous hosting or customer-facing experience is a plus
- Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable standing for extended periods

Dishwasher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a restaurant or food service environment and possess a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area in the kitchen.
- Ensure all dishes and utensils are properly sanitized.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Help with organizing and storing kitchen supplies.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- A positive attitude & a desire to learn
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while multitasking and under pressure
